Who writes what you read here, how we check it against the code that produces it, and how to tell us when we're wrong.
Who writes here
Everything on this site is published under a single byline: QuizWren — the site's own name, standing in for the small, independent team that builds and writes it. There is no research institution, licensing body, or panel of named experts behind the name — and we won't pretend otherwise. One byline keeps our articles, test explainers, and game guides speaking in one consistent voice. We don't invent authors, borrow credentials, or attach fictional psychologists to our work. If a claim needs authority, it earns it by being checkable, not by being signed with an impressive name. There's more about who we are and why the site exists on the about page.
How we check what we publish
Our first rule is that the numbers on the site have to agree with the code that produces them. Every claim about how a test is scored — the 35-item format, the 25-minute limit, the deviation-IQ formula, the percentile curve — traces back to the same published constants the engine actually uses to score you, so the writing can't quietly drift from the product. The full derivation lives on the methodology page, written in plain language rather than marketing copy. When we get something wrong, we fix it on discovery and update the affected page's last-updated date, rather than silently editing history.
Sources
When we state a fact that comes from outside our own tests — a statistic about the population, or a claim about how intelligence testing works — we point to published research or primary sources rather than asking you to take our word for it. Where a topic is genuinely contested or uncertain, we say so instead of flattening it into false confidence. We are also not affiliated with any high-IQ society; any comparison to their thresholds is a factual note on a shared statistical scale, nothing more.
